Down To Earth’s Liquid Calcium 5% is an essential nutrient that plays many important roles in plant growth. DTE Calcium is needed for cell wall formation, normal cell division in new growth and proper fruit development. Calcium deficiency can result in poor root development, yellowing of new plant tissue and fruit and vegetable abnormalities, such as blossom end rot in tomatoes. Foliar additions of calcium can be used to correct or prevent deficiencies of this valuable nutrient.
Shake Well Before Using
DTE™ Liquid Calcium is effective as either a soil drench or as a foliar spray. Best used as a foliar spray in early morning or late evening.
Note: To treat physiological calcium disorders, DTE™ Liquid Calcium may only be used as a foliar spray not as a soil additive.
Soil Drench:
Use 1-2 tbsp. (0.5-1.0 oz.) per gallon of water. Apply around the base of plants, at the drip line of trees or through an irrigation system. For application during weekly watering, use 1 tsp. per gallon of water.
Foliar Spray:
Use 1-2 tbsp. (0.5-1.0 oz.) per gallon of water. For best results, combine with a natural surfactant to increase adhesion to the leaf surface. Spray foliage to the point of r
